Mr. Benson serves as the company's President & Chief Operating Officer (President & COO). Prior to joining Potomac Family Dining Group in 2012, he served as Vice President of Operations for Fazoli’s Italian Restaurants – a nationwide franchisor of Fast Casual Italian Meals. Mr. Benson is a career restaurant professional, and is a living example of “controlling your own career”. He has served as Line Cook, Assistant Manager, General Manager, Area Director, Franchise Business Consultant, Director of Operations, and Vice President of Operations. Mr. Benson credits his professional success to a base philosophy of driving results through People Excellence.

Shannon Long is Potomac’s Director of Human Resources. Shannon has been working with Potomac Family Dining Group since 2012 and has been with the Applebee’s brand for over 19 years. Shannon has had the opportunity to successfully hold several different leadership roles within Potomac. Those roles have included working in operations as a Multi-Unit leader and as the Director of Learning and Development. As the Director of Human Resources, Shannon is responsible for all of our human capital strategies including execution of team member engagement, professional development and operational learning platforms across all levels of the organization. Shannon holds a MSc in Management and Leadership from Western Governor’s University is both SHRM-SCP and PHR certified.
Sr. Information Technology Manager
Zheer Rostam is the company's Sr. Information Technology Manager. He is responsible for Potomac's IT infrastructure including but not limited to, Hardware, Software, OS Customization, Cross-Platform Configuration, System Administration & Support, Cloud Solutions, Data Security & Integrity, Cyber Security, PCI Compliance and Project Management. He joined Potomac in 2012.
Zheer holds a BSc degree in CIS with Concentration in Programming. He is currently working on his CISSP Certification.
Outside of work, he has a passion for music (Pianist/Keyboardist), he also enjoys working out, cooking, traveling overseas to historical places, learning about different cultures and traditions, volunteering to help the less fortunate in the US and abroad through different programs or organizations. He speaks three languages (Kurdish, Arabic, English) fluently and two other (Turkish and Farsi) as an advanced beginner. He hopes to learn Italian and French in the coming years.
Information Technology Manager
Mr. McAdoo serves as the Company’s Information Technology Manager and has over 30 years of IT experience specifically in retail computer operations. His primary responsibilities at Potomac include the maintenance and operation of all company communication systems, computer hardware, applications, and associated data.
Mr. McAdoo’s career began as a computer programmer/developer while serving in the United States Marine Corps. After leaving the military, Mr. McAdoo enjoyed a 20 year relationship with the Giant Food grocery chain where he eventually served as the manager of In-Store Computer Systems. Prior to joining Potomac, Mr. McAdoo operated his own consulting firm specializing in retail computer applications and equipment.
Sr. Human Resources Manager
Nicole Hoblin joined Potomac Family Dining Group in May of 2016 and brings with her over 6 years of progressive and diverse Human Resources experience specializing in small to mid-size organizations. She has extensive hands-on experience with benefits administration, policy design, employee relations, orientation and training, and payroll.
Prior to joining the HR Team at Potomac, Nicole held roles as HR Generalist for Metropolitan Healthcare Services, Digital Signal Corporation, and SCI Consulting Services. She has multi-industry experience ranging from Government contracting to manufacturing to hospital support services.
Nicole is a graduate of Virginia Tech where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources and a minor in Psychology.

Ashleigh Michael joined Potomac’s Marketing team in January 2020 as our Marketing Coordinator. Ashleigh’s marketing experience began in the property management industry, where she served an on-site support team member for over six years. At the time of her start with Potomac, she was enrolled in a dual Bachelor’s of Business Administration and Marketing Program at Southern New Hampshire University. The special skills that she brings to our team include facilitating integrated marketing campaigns, local outreach marketing, and extensive social media management. Ashleigh also serves as the social media coordinator for her local church, and as the lead in their media department. As the Marketing Coordinator at Potomac, Ashleigh is primarily responsible for collaborating with the CEO of our company in an effort to strategize and implement new promotions in our restaurants, executing social media posts and promotional emails, and working within our local community on behalf of our organization, among other marketing-related tasks.
